There's Little Reason To Fear Digital Cameras These Days

By Chris Campbell

When you plan to use a digital camera that will help you remember the best moments of your life, the decision shouldn't be taken lightly. With a digital camera, the photos you take will look better and you will be able to take snapshots in all kinds of conditions, even with bad lighting. Here are 10 reasons why you should use a digital camera:

The LCD screen is pretty impressive. It has a 3 inch LCD screen with 900,000 pixels. Menus are easy to handle and understand and "Live View" will surely impress you if this is the first time you own a DSLR with this feature. But keep in mind that it is a battery drainer and once the imager circuitry from the CMOS heats up the live-view will be automatically turned off not to add noise to the images.

You don't have to buy film, and you're always prepared to take photos when the occasion appears. Think how annoying it is to try taking a photo and missing film in the camera. You can see the end result right after you take the photo. Seeing the photo insures that you will always save the good ones, and repeat the photos when they turn bad.

Superzoom cameras offer such large zoom ranges that they are almost impossible to match with film cameras. The lenses are large, yet small enough to be able to have a small, compact camera, that is convenient for users to carry around.

Manufacturers are continuously competing to come out with the camera with the best zoom range. Primarily, the average was a 10x lens, but now that number is about double. Not only are the manufacturers improving the length the lens can see, but they are improving the field of vision and width.

But this is only a problem if you're shooting for film or television, as no such broadcast operates at 30.00 fps. If you're using this camera only for web released videos, the 30.00 fps won't be a problem to you.

When you're looking to buy a digital camera, you can choose between a lot of models, with many different options. You can visit a store to check what models they have for sale and what each can do. Price shouldn't be the only reason why you choose a camera.

Also you may notice the H.264 block artifacts in some low light or low contrast scenes. I could say that these artifacts are more obvious than the Canon's HF10, 1080 video camera encoding.
